I recently went through a life changing near-death experience, and I came out of it with the inability to sleep on my left side, and no feeling below my knee... but more importantly a new understanding of life. Expectations in life are just wishes that may or may not materialize, so I've decided to live my life by a new code. I have no time to waste, because life is fragile, but I also have no place I NEED to get to. It will unfold, as it always has and always will. I just need to be in wise relation to each moment.
